The single-day new infection count dropped below 1,000 for the second time on Thursday with 986 cases being reported in 24 hours. This has taken the virus caseload in the state to 3,05,986. The positivity rate has come down to 2.1 per cent as the new Covid-19 cases were from among 45,819 samples tested.
